| Abstract | The International Workshop on Curry and Functional Logic Programming (WCFLP 2005), took place in Tallinn (Estonia) on September 29, 2005, as part of the International Conference on Functional Programming (ICFP 2005).The integration of functional and logic programming has been extensively studied during the last years. The declarative multi-paradigm language Curry is one of the important results of this work since it combines in a seamless way the most important features of functional, logic, and concurrent programming. The development of Curry is an international initiative intended to provide a common platform for the research, teaching, and application of integrated functional logic languages. Various implementations of Curry are available and they have been used in a number of different projects. The aim of this workshop is to bring together researchers interested in Curry, related functional logic languages, and general aspects of integrating declarative programming paradigms. It promotes the cross-fertilizing exchange of ideas and experiences among researches and students from the different communities interested in the foundations, applications, and combinations of high-level, declarative programming languages and related areas.WCFLP 2005 includes the annual International Workshop on Functional and Logic Programming (WFLP). Previous WFLP editions have been held in Aachen (2004), Valencia (2003), Grado (2002), Kiel (2001), Benicassim (2000), Grenoble (1999), Bad Honnef (1998), Schwarzenberg (1997, 1995, 1994), Marburg (1996), Rattenberg (1993), and Karlsruhe (1992). The technical program of WCFLP 2005 included presentations of standard papers as well as system demonstrations. The Program Committee of WCFLP 2005 collected for each submitted paper and system description three reviews and held an electronic discussion on all submissions during June 2005. Finally, the Program Committee selected 4 full papers and 6 system descriptions for presentation at the workshop. |
