Abstract	The developing countries are experiencing a phenomenal growth in Information and Communication technology (ICT) provision. Fueled by this ICT explosion, many projects have been initiated to providing agricultural information and advice to farmer communities. These services include agri advisory and information services, market price alerts, weather alerts and systems for mobile-payments and financial services. However, these benefits appear to vary across crops, distance of village from market, road quality and other factors such as competitiveness introduced by wholesale bigger markets. There are a number of knowledge gaps in our understanding of the role of ICTs for agriculture in developing world. This paper aims to fill this gap by proposing a systematic review protocol on key lessons learned from the ICT usage trends and practices for agricultural production in the developing countries, with special focus on small landholder farmers.
