Content Provider ACM Digital Library
Author Pedrosa, Isabel
Abstract The acceptance of Computer Assisted Audit Tools among auditors is referred about their difficult considering some tools usage, availability and upgrading possibilities. Despite CAATs availableness in the companies, auditors kept, as far as they could be, apart from it. Mainly, some authors stand that some obstacles could be solved with a different approach: Web 2.0 is referred as an empower set of tools to auditors. Another myth must be overcame: mainly Web 2.0 are social networks and companies still not aware of the potential of tools like blogs, activity streams, mashups, collaborative working software and idea database are still underused. We intend to present Web 2.0 possibilities considering internal auditors perspective.
