| Abstract | Cai Wen's land mark article "Extension Set and Non-compatible Problems" was published in 1983, and thus proclaimed the birth of extenics. Its objectives were to study contradictory (non-compromising and non-compatible) problems in the real world. Its theoretical foundations are matter element theory and extension set theory. Extension control, extension information, extension system, extension logic, etc., are part of this theoretical system. Its practical methodology includes extension engineering methods which further includes the concepts of extension characteristic analysis, transforming bridge, extension cognition, extension decision, extension forecast, etc.Basically, the theoretical system and the practical methodology of extenics are introduced in this article. |
