| Abstract | The last twenty years in computers have seen enormous changes. The increases in processor speed and disk capacity, the advent of window systems, and the decrease of cost is often discussed. What is overlooked is the fact there is now quality freeware you can use on a daily basis to use computers in business. Most "free software" is often described as public domain, and dismissed as games. Or people who write free freeware are dismissed as amateurs, who can't find jobs as real programmers. This is less true than ever. The quality of freeware has grown tremendously over the last twenty years in quantity and quality. The following describes most of the common arrangement available: |
