| Abstract | The Lovász Local Lemma (LLL) is a powerful tool in probability theory to show the existence of combinatorial objects meeting a prescribed collection of “weakly dependent” criteria. We show that the LLL extends to a much more general geometric setting, where events are replaced with subspaces and probability is replaced with relative dimension, which allows to lower bound the dimension of the intersection of vector spaces under certain independence conditions. Our result immediately applies to the $\textit{k}-qsat$ problem (quantum analog of $\textit{k}-sat):$ For instance we show that any collection of rank-1 projectors, with the property that each qubit appears in at most $2^{k}/(e$ ċ $\textit{k})$ of them, has a joint satisfiable state. We then apply our results to the recently studied model of random $\textit{k}-qsat.$ Recent works have shown that the satisfiable region extends up to a density of 1 in the large $\textit{k}$ limit, where the density is the ratio of projectors to qubits. Using a hybrid approach building on work by Laumann et al. [2009, 2010] we greatly extend the known satisfiable region for random $\textit{k}-qsat$ to a density of $Ω(2^{k}/k^{2}).$ Since our tool allows us to show the existence of joint satisfying states without the need to construct them, we are able to penetrate into regions where the satisfying states are conjectured to be entangled, avoiding the need to construct them, which has limited previous approaches to product states. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI provides user group-specific services such as Examination Preparatory for School and College students and job aspirants. Services for Researchers and general learners are also provided. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
