| Claim | A method for controlling one or more molluscs in a location where control is desired, comprising introducing into said location one or more isolated compounds capable of controlling said one or more molluscs, wherein said one or more isolated compounds is selected from (a) γ-dodecalactone, δ-tridecalactone, and α-heptyl-γ-butyrolactone; (b) an amide selected from N-cyclopentyldecanamide and N-cyclopentyldecenamide; (c) piliferolide A; (d) 11-hydroxy12-ene-octadecanoic acid; and (e) N-(decenoyl)pyrrolidine, and controlling said one or more molluscs. The method according to claim 1, wherein said molluscs are controlled by inducing death in said molluscs. The method of any one of claims 1-2, wherein the mollusc is a member of a Gastropoda or Bivalivia class. The method of any one of claims 1-3, wherein the mollusc is a Dreissana sp. |
