| Abstract | The present invention provides a marine deceleration device that can decrease the installation space for an electrical rotating machine. A marine deceleration device (2) is provided with: an input shaft (40) that is connected to an output shaft (43) of an engine (11); the output shaft (43) that is connected to a propulsion shaft (13) which rotates a screw propeller (14); a gearbox (3) that houses an input gear (51) disposed on the input shaft (40) and an output gear (55) disposed on the output shaft (43) and that supports a first bearing (63) which rotatably supports the output shaft (43); and an electrical rotating machine (7) comprising a center shaft (71) that rotates together with the output shaft (43), a rotor (72) that is secured to the center shaft (71), and a stator (73) that surrounds the rotor (72). The stator (73) and a second bearing (65) that rotatably supports the center shaft (71) of the electrical rotating machine (7) are supported by the gearbox (3). |
