| Claim | A damping force generator (40) comprising: a valve body (75) having a port (77) into which oil flows when a piston (12) slides inside a cylinder (11) of a shock absorber (10); and a damping valve (63, 65) which is provided so as to block an end of the port (77) and is elastically deformed according to pressure of the oil flowing into the port (77) to thereby open and close the port (77), wherein an opening cross-sectional area (A1) of an inlet opening (77a) of the port (77) through which the oil flows into the port (77) is larger than a passage cross-sectional area (A0) of the port (77) on a side on which the damping valve (63, 65) is disposed, wherein the damping force generating unit (40) is configured such that the damping valve (63, 65) is provided on one end side (75b) of the valve body (75) so as to block an outlet opening (77b) of the port (77); a check valve (61, 67) is provided on the other end side of (75a) the valve body (75) so as to block the port (77); and the inlet opening (77a) of the port (77) is formed to be open between the check valve (61, 67) and a recess (75k) which is formed in an outer circumferential surface of the valve body (75) so as to be depressed from the other end side toward the one end side and communicates with the port (77), characterized in that the valve body (75) integrally includes inner circumferential walls (75i), outer circumferential walls (75o) formed on the outer side in the radial direction of the inner circumferential wall (75i), and a plurality of connection walls (75w) formed at intervals in the circumferential direction so as to extend in the radial direction to connect the inner circumferential walls (75i) and the outer circumferential walls (75o). The damping force generator (40) according to claim 1, wherein the inlet opening (77a) of the port (77) is open on the outer circumferential surface of the valve body (75) toward an outer side crossing an axial direction of the port (77). The damping force generator (40) according to claim 1, wherein the port (77) is a compression-side port (77) into which the oil pushed by the piston (12) flows when the piston (12) moves to a compression side, and wherein the damping valve (63, 65) is a compression-side damping valve (65) that opens and closes the compression-side port (77) by elastically deforming according to the pressure of the oil flowing into the compression-side port (77). The damping force generator (40) according to claim 1, wherein the valve body (75) includes six to ten of the ports (77) and six to ten of the inlet openings (77a) of the ports. A shock absorber (10) comprising: a cylinder (11) in which oil is sealed; a piston rod (13) of which one end is inserted into the cylinder (11) and the other end is extended outside the cylinder (11); a piston (12) which is connected to the one end of the piston rod (13) and is provided in the cylinder (11) so as to be slidable along a central axis direction of the cylinder (11); and a damping force generating unit (40) which controls flow of the oil occurring when the piston (12) slides in the cylinder (11) according to a displacement of the piston rod (13), to generate damping force, wherein the damping force generating unit (40) is configured according to any one of the preceding claims. The shock absorber (10) according to claim 5, further comprising: a reservoir (30) that compensates for the oil according to a change in advancement volume of the piston rod (13) into the cylinder (11), wherein the damping force generating unit (40) includes: an extension-side port (62t), having an extension-side damping valve (63), into which the oil flows when the piston (12) slides to an extension side and which thus generates damping force; and a communication path (107) which is provided on a downstream side of the compression-side damping valve (65) of the compression-side port (77) and the extension-side damping valve (63) of the extension-side port (62t) so as to communicate with the reservoir (30). |
