| Claim | A method for controlling transmission over a wireless communication link (120), wherein the method is characterised by comprising: forming, in a network node (100), an indication of whether a Hybrid automatic repeat request, HARQ, process should be activated or deactivated in a mobile station (20); and transmitting said indication from the network node (100) to the mobile station (20) on a transmission resource control channel wherein said indication comprises a group of bits on the transmission resource control channel having specified meaning as to whether a specific HARQ process is to be activated or deactivated, and/or whether all other HARQ processes are to be deactivated or activated, wherein the transmission resource control channel is an enhanced absolute grant channel, E-AGCH channe A method according to claim 1, wherein a bit of said group of bits indicates that a corresponding HARQ process should be activated if the HARQ process is not active, and deactivated if the HARQ process is active. A method according to claim 1, wherein a bit of said group of bits indicates whether a predefined group of other bits on the transmission resource control channel indicate a transmission resource grant or whether the predefined group of other bits on the transmission resource control channel carry HARQ process activation commands. A method according to claim 1, wherein said group of bits indicates that a HARQ process should change states. A method according to claim 1, wherein said group of bits indicates a HARQ process state or state change for a specific HARQ process and a HARQ process state, or state change for other HARQ processes. A method according to claim 1, wherein the step of forming is performed by a wireless network node. A mobile station (20) for a wireless communication network (120), characterised by comprising: a receiver (230) for receiving a transmission resource control channel, means (240) for receiving HARQ process control information from the transmission resource control channel, and a controller (250) for activating and deactivating a HARQ process in response to said HARQ process control information received by the said means for receiving HARQ process control information, wherein said HARQ process control information comprises a group of bits on the transmission resource control channel having specified meaning as to whether a specific HARQ process is to be activated or deactivated, and/or whether all other HARQ processes are to be deactivated or activated, wherein the transmission resource control channel is an enhanced absolute grant channel, E-AGCH channe A mobile station to claim 7, wherein a bit of said group of bits indicates that a corresponding HARQ process should be activated if the HARQ process is not active, and deactivated if the HARQ process is active. A mobile station according to claim 7. wherein a bit of said group of bits indicates whether a predefined group of other bits on the transmission resource control channel indicate a transmission resource grant or whether the predefined group of other bits on the transmission resource control channel carry HARQ process activation commands. A mobile station according to claim 7, wherein said group of bits indicates that a HARQ process should change state. A mobile station according to claim 7, wherein said group of bits indicates a HARQ process state or state change for a specific HARQ process and a HARQ process state, or state change for other HARQ processes. A network node (100) for a wireless communication network (120), characterised by comprising: a transmitter (115) for transmitting a transmission resource control channel to mobile stations (20), and means (120) for embedding HARQ process control information in data frames transmitted on the transmission resource control channel, wherein the HARQ process control information comprises an indication of whether a HARQ process should be activated or deactivated in a mobile station (20), wherein said indication comprises a group of bits on the transmission resource control channel having specified meaning as to whether a specific HARQ process is to be activated or deactivated, and/or whether all other HARQ processes are to be deactivated or activated wherein the transmission resource control channel is enhanced absolute grant channel, E-AGCH channe A network node (100) according to claim 8, wherein the network node (100) is a Node B network node. A network node (100) according to claim 8, wherein the network node (100) is a base station. |
