Description | Under a canopy of heraldic banners, the King sits on a carpet leaning against a roller cushion, holding his right hand out invitingly to his visitor; in front of him on his knees to the left is a musician who holds up his left hand in a gesture of blessing; the visitor stands in front of the platform and carries a baby wrapped in a cloth; in the doorway a servant who watches with a sword in his belt with bowed head; behind the King a servant with a peacock feather. Around the image a border in red and a black framing line, here and there pasted over to reinforce weak parts. |
