Description | The women’s quarters of a palace occupy the right side of the composition. On the left, in the courtyard, gods, including the four-headed Brahma, blue Vishnu, Indra with eyes all over his body, and Shiva with snakes in his hair who sits closer to the demons, feast on large platters of rice brought to them by servants. The depiction of the feast is inspired from an ancient Pahari feast called Dhām. |
