Description | Six-frame comic strip. Phil takes his date out rowing, knowing that he has five dollars and boats cost one dollar an hour. He watches the clock anxiously. His date takes over the job of rowing. After four hours out, Phil insists on going in, but his date refuses, wanting to row to the end of the lake. Phil gasps when he sees the moon. They reach the dock, and discover that they have been out for six hours. His date sobs while Phil attempts to hand the attendant his five dollars. A small inset shows the dock attendant pushing Phil back into the lake. |
