Description | Broadside shows a large skull with several small skulls and skeletons on the recto and verso. The smaller images of skulls and skeletons are shown with corresponding objects conveying some attribute to a type of work or profession. The text both on the recto and verso consists of verse calaveras mentioning several individuals by name and their line of work. The flood in the title of this piece occurred when a dam broke on June 30, 1905, after several days of heavy rain, and killed more than a hundred people. |
