The text conveys the problems of scarcity of money and of poverty--hunger--and lists the different foods that one could eat if there were money to buy them as well as articles of clothing that could be sold for cash. Two additional songs appear on the broadside: "The little virgin" and "If you could only love me." The verso is the same broadside, in reverse, so that the sheet could be cut into two broadsides. |
