NDLI: Statue of Milton S. Hershey at the Hersheypark family theme park in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Dating to 1906, when chocolatier and philanthropist Milton S. Hershey opened what was initially his "picnic ground" for company employees along Spring Creek, the park opened the Wild Cat, the first of what today (as of 2019) are 14 roller coasters, in 1923. The playland was known as Hershey Park until 1970
