NDLI: View of Twin Lakes, really one large lake on the eastern end of Independence Pass and the Top of the Rockies Scenic Byway when viewed from lake level. That pass, westward from the town of Twin Lakes to Aspen, is closed as many as six months a year because of heavy snow accumulation
