NDLI: President Hoover plants tree on White House grounds. Scene on the south grounds of the White House today as President Hoover planted a cedar tree from the famous "Ferry Farm," across the river from Fredericksburg, Virginia, where George Washington spent his boyhood days. The tree was presented by the George Washington Tree Guild of Fredericksburg. 3/23/32
