NDLI: Townsend faces senate committee again. Washington, D.C., March 19. Dr. Francis E. Townsend made a brief appearance before the Senate Unemployment Committee today and argued that his old age pension plan would do away with unemployment. He filed with the Committee a statement explaining the plan of a pension of $200 a month to all persons over 65, 3/19/38
