NDLI: Borah and McCarran seem happy at Judiciary Committee. Washington, D.C., May 18. Sen. William E. Borah of Idaho (seated) and Senator Pat McCarran of Nevada, both seem elated that the Senate Judiciary Committee voted to report the President's bill to the Senate floor as unfavorable. Both of these Senators have been opposed to the bill and are glad that the meetings are over, 5/18/1937
