NDLI: Father of U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Washington, D.C., April 27. Charles W. Nagle of St. Louis, founder of the United States Chamber of Commerce, was the principal speaker at this morning's session of the annual meeting of the Chamber in the capital. Nagle, a former Secretary of Commerce in the Taft Administration, founded the organization twenty-five years ago, 4/27/1937
