Here, in the shop of a small manufacturer of saws and knives in downtown New York City, a workman grinds bullet dies to close tolerances on a special surface grinding machine. This fully converted shop is carrying out heat treating, straightening and surface grinding work on hundreds of small ordnance, aircraft and other parts, on a subcontract basis
