NDLI: Production. Magnesium. A veritable forest of transmission towers and transformers distribute electrical power to the various units of Basic Magnesium's huge plant in the southern Nevada desert. Some units of this plant are now producing magnesium, lightest of all metals, for incendiary bombs, tracer bullets and aircraft parts. Full production is scheduled for the summer of 1943
