NDLI: On way to death house Mineola, Long Island, Jan. 30 - Mrs. Frances Creighton, (center), who with Everett C. Applegate was sentenced to death by Judge Cortland A. Johnson in Nassau County Court here today for murder of Applegate's wife, Ada, is shown leaving jail to be taken to the death house at Sing Sing Prison. Judge Johnson directed that they be executed during the week of March 9.
