Description | Cartoon shows an old man (somewhat resembling Colonel Blimp) fuming in his chair. In the next room his wife explains his fury to a friend. His room is decorated with a military theme with carved hand grenades as finials on his chair and a military painting on the wall; her room has a middle class stuffiness. Norris was editorial cartoonist for the Vancouver Sun from 1950 until 1988. His drawings reflected the English cartoon genre of "non-political, illustrative, news interpretation." |
