Description | These examples of items displayed on bulletin boards at the Charles and Ray Eames office in Venice, CA, were selected by Library staff to recreate a bulletin board for traveling exhibition called "The Work of Charles & Ray Eames: A Legacy of Invention," which started in 1999. Mostly promotional material for exhibits, openings, lectures, symposia, and films, primarily in Los Angeles with some for San Francisco, New York, and Milan. The art announcements include exhibits of work by Fernando Botero, Kenneth Noland, Kurt Schwitters, and Andy Warhol. Also a notice for a benefit concert by Philip Glass and a certificate issued to Ray Eames by Japan Airlines on the occassion of her crossing the international dateline in 1962. |
