Description | Four-panel comic strip shows Smitty ordering all the employees to meet at ten in the library. The other employees note it "is a laugh! Smitty being the boss." When they arrive in the library they find the important issue to be discussed is who will loan Smitty a dime for lunch. Smitty was an irrepressible office boy who generally outmaneuvered both his boss, Mr. Bailey, and the other office employees. This strip is apparently part of a sequence in which Smitty has been left in charge of the office. |
