Description | Group portrait shows people described in Eleanor Pray's letter of July 14, 1899: "I send you two blueprints from Mr. [David] Clarkson's negatives. The one taken in our morning room is said to be the best of me that has been taken. I am on the end, then Mr. Johns (of Chicago), Mrs. [Sarah] Smith, Mr. Bell, Mrs. Bunker, Mr. Bunker (of San Francisco), Mrs. Johns, Fred [Pray, far right], and Mr. Miller [center front]. The elbow at the extreme right is fastened to Mr. [William] Davidson, but he didn't come out because he was too stout, I told him." Frederick Pray's photograph of this occasion is no. 52 in the album. (Source: B. Ingemanson, 2002) |
