Description | Photographs created and used to produce and document a film sponsored by the United States Information Agency for the American National Exhibition in Moscow (1959). Images show models proposed and developed for multi-screen presentations; Charles Eames, designer George Nelson, Jack Masey and Billy Wilder at work studying early designs; the exhibition site under construction; film projectors; the projection room; negative preparation and editing activities; and the seven-screen display in the actual exhibition auditorium. Other images show adults and children at leisure outdoors, including children playing in school yards and making artwork. Includes a few photographs of aerial views of highways and city lights at night. Also includes images of Eames Office staff at work. |
