Connors, Deputy Secretary of State of Connecticut. Included are portraits of Luce's supporters and staff such as John Napolitano, Al Morano, Tere Pascone, "Big" Bill Brennan, Republican leader J. Kenneth Bradley, George C. Waldo, and her husband, publisher Henry Luce. Other images depict her opponents such as Margaret E. Connors, Leigh Dannenberg, labor leader Sidney Hillman, President Franklin Roosevelt, Senator Harry Truman, Secretary of the Interior Harold Ickes, Vice President Henry Wallace, journalist Dorothy Thompson, Communist party leader Earl Browder, Quentin Reynolds, and author Clifton Fadiman. Also shown are Luce campaigning outside a factory, Luce at a table with John Danaher (US Senator from Connecticut) and Finette Nichols (Connecticut state representative), and Luce next to a train with Connecticut governor Ray Baldwin and Ohio governor John W. Bricker.
