Description	Album documents the funeral ceremonies of the Japanese ambassador Hiroshi Saito and the activities of the accompanying American Navy representatives and U.S. and Japanese government delegates in Japan, April 17-24, 1939. Includes views of Captain Richmond Kelly Turner of the U.S.S. "Astoria" and Japanese Captain Yagi of the H.I.J.M.S. "Kiso" and transfer ceremony of the ambassador's ashes in Yokohama. Also includes views of Japanese and American naval honor guards; funeral procession in Tokyo; ceremonies at the Honganzi Temple; burial services at the Tama cemetery; views of banquets and receptions held for the American delegation including visits to the Imperial Palace, Kiyomizu Gardens, Kegon waterfall, Lake Tyuzenzi and a Kabuki performance. Includes views of Saito's family; Japanese government officials; American sailors and formal group portraits with Captain Turner. Also includes an outline of the life and portrait photograph of Ambassador Saito.
