Description	Presentation portfolio to German Postal service minister Wilhelm Ohnesorge of photographs and local newspaper accounts of the celebration surrounding the ceremonial return of the Festung Hohensalzburg (Salzburg fortress) occupied by the German Wehrmacht since 1938 to the control of the Gau Salzburg (the local Third Reich administrative district) in August, 1942. Includes accounts of visiting dignitaries, including Danish ambassador Mohr, Japanese ambassador General Hiroshi Oshima and other Japanese delegates. Local and regional Nazi officials present include Reichsminister Ohnesorge, Gauleiter Gustav Adolf Scheel, Reichsminister Esser, Minister General Glaise-Horstenau and the mayor of Salzburg Dr. Lorenz. Includes pictures of folk musicians and dancers providing entertainment for the assembled guests.
