Description	News photographs show bomb-damaged and demolished buildings in Berlin, Germany ca. 1946. Includes views of the parliament building (Reichstag); opera house; American, French, Russian and British embassy buildings; Stock exchange; government buildings along Wilhelmstrasse including the chancellory building (Reichskanzlei), headquarters for the German Army (O.K.W.), Reichsbank, foreign ministry building (Auswärtige Amt), Ministry of Propaganda (Propagandaministerium), the ministry for the Airforce (Luftfahrtministerium) and headquarters of the Gestapo in Prinz-Albrecht Strasse. Includes views of damaged palaces including the Altes Schloss, Charlottenburger Schloss, Ribbentrop Palais and Borsig Palais. Also views of damaged hotels including the Adlon Hotel, Eden Hotel, Berlin Hotel, Hotel Kaiserhof. Also ruins of other prominent Berlin landmarks such as the City hall (Rathaus), Potsdamer Platz, Alexander Platz, Rundfunk Haus (Radio broadcast house), Siegesäule (Victory statue), Olympic Stadium, University, Kaiser-Wilhelm Gedächtnis Kirche (Kaiser-Wilhelm memorial church), Brandenburg Gate, K.D.W. (department store), museums, movie houses and coffee shops. Includes some views of buildings before bombing and view of the Reichstag after the 1933 fire.
