| Description | Reproductions of pictures used in an inaugural exhibition at Breslau to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Wars of Liberation, 1813-1814. Primarily portraits of European royalty and military officers. Among the many individuals pictured are: Friedrich Wilhelm III, Queen Luise, Princesses Charlotte and Luise, the Princes Wilhelm d. A., Friedrich, and August, Blücher, Kleist, von Nollendorf, Hedemann, Franz I, Talleyrand and Napoleon. Also includes some battle scenes and satirical views of the military in Paris, 1814. The exhibit hall was designed by Professor Hans Poelzig and includes reproduction of the architectural plan. |
