Description | Four-panel comic strip showing a chauffeur and a policeman outside a house in which a reunion of participants in the Watergate Affair is in progress. They speculate that it must be a grim affair since the participants have all testified against each other. Actually, as shown in the last panel, the unrepentant participants are clustered around a piano singing "We're Richard Nixon's Seeecret [sic] Tapes Club Band." The participants include former Attorney General John Mitchell and Nixon aides H.R. Haldeman, John Dean, John Ehrlichman, and Jeb Magruder. The release of tapes made during meetings in President Nixon's office supplied some of the most damning evidence against the President and his aides. |
