Description | Four-panel comic strip shows P.T. Bridgeport (a bear reminiscent of the famous circus impresario, P.T. Barnum) yearning for a "stellar attraction." Bun Rabbit sees Mole MacCarony and the turtle, Churchy La Femme, approaching, connected by Clifford, the crawfish, who has the nose of each one in his claws. Churchy confides they plan to "ease Clifford into a cup of sassy-frash tea an' it'll put him to sleep ...." Seeing this strange group, Bun Rabbit shouts "Look! ... a sensation! Wow! Siamese triplets!" Startled, Clifford lets go of the noses and all the animals cry, "Where?" This is one of a series of strips in which Bridgeport tries to organize a circus. |
