Description | World War II cartoon shows Mussolini and Stalin staring in shock at Adolf Hitler who has become a war monster, wearing plated armor with enormous st boots, firing guns in all directions and unleashing bolts of lightning. In the classic story, Frankenstein, by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley, a young student named Frankenstein creates a monster who eventually turns on his creator. Hitler's invasion of Western Europe in May 1940, using the famous Blitzkrieg tactics featuring coordinated infantry, tank, and bomber attacks, was overwhelmingly successful. By June 6, he controlled most of Western Europe. Berryman speculates that Hitler's allies, Italy and the Soviet Union, may be viewing the German juggernaut with some alarm. |
