NDLI: Civilian defense. Here is a portable electric power saw to cut flooring and heavy beams. It is part of the equipment of the New York City Emergency Service truck displayed in October at the civilian defense show at Madison Square Garden by the New York Police Department. This saw, which operates on 110-volt direct current generated by the truck, can be used as far as 2000 feet from the truck
