Description | Print shows a two-panel folding sample sheet of "The Farm Yard", a premium issued by Blackwell's Durham Tobacco Company, Durham, N.C.; depicted are several farm animals, along with a peacock and a calla lily plant, also a farmhouse, which is not to scale, as stated on the verso "The house on this sheet is reduced in size. The house that goes with 'The Farm Yard' is four times as large." Among the animals are a turkey, a rooster, a hen with chicks, a sheep, pig, horse, ducks, and a dog. Also printed on verso: "Blackwell's Durham Tobacco Company, Durham, N.C., send [sic] you this sample to give you an idea of 'The Farm Yard' which consists of" and provides a three column list of all the components of the "The Farm Yard", along with instructions "To secure 'The Farm Yard' free, postpaid, mail 6 coupons with your address to Blackwell's Durham Tobacco Co., Durham, N.C." Includes additional text about the coupons, as well as a description of the set and suggestions on how to assemble the "The Farm Yard". |
