| Description | This book is the initial book of Chhayavadi poetry. Chhayavad is considered to have started with the publication of Jharna. Jharna was published in 1918. It had relatively fewer poems. In the subsequent editions, some more poems were kept and some poems were removed. The poems of Jharna give a glimpse of the poet's future development and for this reason critics consider it an important step of the Chhayavad era. Most of the poems of Jharna were written between 1914-1917 AD. Jharna is the creation of the poet's youth and its poems give a sense of his state of mind.
