Description | Three important properties of a spectrometer are: (1) its throughput, (2) whether or not it is a multiplex system, and (3) its free spectral range. Various multiplex systems are described, and an attempt is made to present a comparison of the merits of implementations of such systems. Systems considered are the Michelson and Lamellar-grating interferometers, the Mock interferometer, and the Hadamard transform spectrometer. (Author) |
