Description | This optimistic poster promises disabled veterans that they can still live a happy and productive life through labor. Published through the American Red Cross, in conjunction with the undersecretary of state of the French Military Health Service, the poster advertises apprenticeships in new professions if returning soldiers are no longer able to practice their old trades. Vignettes of amputees employing new prosthetic limbs in various factory and agricultural trades illustrate the many options veterans could choose to pursue.
