Description This is the Mathematical Science Question Paper for CSIR UGC NET December 2012. This question paper comprises a total of 120 questions divided into three parts. Part 'A', 'B', and 'C' of the question Paper contains 20, 40 and 60 questions respectively and candidates need to answer 15 questions from Part 'A', 25 questions from Part 'B' and 20 questions from Part 'C'. Each question in Part 'A', 'B' and 'C' carries 2, 3 and 4.75 marks respectively and the total marks of the question paper is 200. 25% of the marks each question in Part 'A' and "B' carries, will be deducted for incorrect answers and there is no negative marking in Part 'C'. Part 'A' pertains to General Aptitude problems that emphasize logical reasoning, graphical analysis, analytical and numerical aptitude, quantitative comparison, series construction, puzzles, and so forth. Part 'B' comprises subject-related conventional Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) that cover the overall syllabus. Part 'C' includes higher-order questions that assess knowledge of scientific topics as well as their application. The questions are analytical in nature, with the candidate asked to apply scientific knowledge to answer a scientific problem.
